Quartz Counter Tops

Are Quartz Counter Tops Right For Your Kitchen Remodel?

It can  be hard to decide which type of counter tops to get for your kitchen. There are so many different options out there, all with their pros and cons. A lot of people like the look of solid surface natural stone counter tops, such as granite counter tops. However, these can be quite expensive and they need a certain amount of care in order to keep them looking nice. Quartz counter tops make a nice alternative since they are much easier to care for.

Quartz counter tops are not a really inexpensive options since they cost almost the same as granite counter tops. However, they have a lot of advantages. Unlike granite, they do not stain and they do not need to be sealed. They are very low maintenance.

Quartz counter tops are made by mixing quartz with a small amount of resin and pigment, and then heating the mixture and putting the mix under pressure to get rid of any air pockets. These counter tops are made to be long lasting and easy to care for.

You simply need to wash them with warm water and a mild cleanser when they are dirty. They don't need to be refinished, and they are very scratch resistant so they can take a beating. One of the other benefits to quartz countertops is that they are certified food safe, unlike granite.

Quartz counter tops come in a wide variety of color choices so you should be able to find one that is right for your kitchen. Because of the manufacturing process, the colors and patterns are more uniform than you would see with other natural stone counter tops. If you like the more dramatic patterns that you sometimes get with granite, you won't be as happy with the quartz. You will need to check out the different color and pattern options to see if there is one that you would like.

There are a number of different manufacturers that offer quartz counter tops. Some of the companies include Cambria, CaesarStone, Hanstone, and LG Viatera. The products from each of these companies are similar, but they offer different color choices and have some other differences as well. For example, Cambria makes an effort to be as environmentally friendly as possible, and they manufacture their products in the United States, while other quartz countertops come from abroad.
